Telefonica’s Movistar TV Go comes to Windows Phone with Cortana integration
Telefonica’s on-demand video service to feature voice commands in Spanish
Windows Phone users in the Spanish speaking countries can soon use Telefonica’s TV over the Top service Movistar TV Go on their smartphones. Telefonica has just announced that a Windows phone app will be released shortly after the Mobile World Congress and it will include an innovative way to search and launch TV content through a Cortana integration with voice commands in Spanish.
Movistar TV Go with Cortana’s natural speech recognition engine will bring to Telefonica and Microsoft’s customers new and differentiating experience on their Windows smartphones.
A Spanish language pack is now being tested internally in order to be improved the natural interaction in Spanish. Movistar TV Go will be the first commercial service to integrate Cortana in a language different than English, which is a sign that a full-featured Spanish Cortana is not too far away from now.
The on-demand service with voice recognition will be available in Spain and Latin America in all countries where Telefonica offers pay-TV services.
