T-Mobile ready to roll out the Lumia Cyan update to Nokia Lumia 925
46.7% of all Windows Phones worldwide are on the latest version 8.1
T-Mobile has announced that the Windows Phone 8.1 update for Nokia Lumia 925 devices is now ready to roll out. The US carrier posted on its official support forum:
“Beginning October 28, the Lumia 925 received a software update to Windows Phone 8.1 / Software version 01061.00074.14391.37104. This update provides features and improvements: Windows Phone 8.1 and Inflight Texting support.”
Meanwhile Verizon Wireless is still quiet about the latest version of Windows phone, and we don’t have information when the update will be released to some of the Verizon’s Lumias.
According to AdDuplex, Windows Phone 8.1 installations account for 46.7% of all active smartphones, Windows 8.0 has 36.8%, while Windows Phone 7.X is still alive with 16.6%.
The Lumia 630 has climbed to the third place among the most popular Lumia models with a share of 6.4%. The current flagship Lumia 930 is popular in Germany where the 5-inch model has reached a 4.1% marketshare.
