Microsoft Edge to get swipe navigation gestures

Windows Insiders on the Fast Ring will be able to swipe between webpages in the Edge browser very soon. Internal Redstone builds of Windows 10 for Desktop and Mobile finally introduce swipe gestures, so users could navigate easily between web pages.

Swiping to navigate back and forth webpages has been one of the most requested features for the browser, so it’s good that Microsoft is bringing back the intuitive and easy navigation known since the old days of Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1

Microsoft has also improved the UI – while swiping back and forth you will see an arrow and a very smooth animation.

The functionality will debut on Windows 10 devices with upcoming Insider Fast Preview builds, and eventually head to the general public with the official update in late July.
