Spotify gets updated to version 5.1 with new features
Last.FM scrobbling, renaming playlists and more in the latest update
After a major design revamp with version 5.0 introduced in late January, Spotify for Windows Phone keeps improving with new features and overall performance improvements in version 5.1 which is already live in the Store.
Spotify 5.1 gives users the ability to rename playlists from their phone. Swipe right or click on the hamburger menu to open the menu and go to ‘Your Music’ -> ‘Playlists’. When you open a playlist now you can rename it. The new option is accessed through the ellipsis at the top right.
The new version of the popular music streaming app also gives more control over radio stations so you could delete them if you don’t listen them anymore.
Spotify version 5.1 brings the ability to scrobble to Last.FM – a popular music website building detail profiles of all users based on the music they are listening to. To enable Last.fm scrobbling go to Settings -> Social, and then log in with your last.fm credentials.
In addition to all these features, Spotify rolls out some performance improvements to its Windows Phone app which is available for download / update from this link.
