Skype Universal with integrated SMS messaging revealed in screenshots
Messaging Everywhere coming soon to Windows 10 testers
Microsoft announced last month its plans to integrate the SMS feature into the new universal Skype app for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile. The company also decided not to release the Messaging Everywhere to the general public with the Anniversary Update in August.
Instead of Messaging + Skype, the Windows 10 users will soon have a brand new Universal Skype app with SMS integration included. The SMS messages will sync with the Skype UWP, and the users can switch between Skype and SMS messages when needed.
Now thanks to MSPU, we can have a look at screenshots of internal builds of Skype UWP with Messaging Everywhere.
Microsoft will probably release the app to Windows 10 Mobile users in the coming weeks, but the public roll out could be postponed to coincide with the second major update of Windows 10 – Redstone 2 in April 2017.
