Skype Translator can be used on both mobile and Skype calls

The new UWP Skype update to version 11.10.145.0 has just reached the Release Preview ring, which means the production roll-out is near. With this update, Microsoft introduced many new features and improvements to Skype Preview Universal app for PC and Mobile.

Skype Translator now works on the UWP Skype app, so you can translate voice in real time while speaking with people on mobile or Skype. The feature supports voice translation between 10 languages – English, German, Spanish, French, Chinese, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazil), Arabic, Russian and Italian.

Among the other new features in this update are the ability to share Skype contacts, Marking conversations as Read/ Unread, and the ability to Capture and Share video messages.

Microsoft should release all these new features to the global market by the end of 2016.
