Version 2.25 gets a high-contrast theme and other improvements 

A new update has been rolled out to Skype for Windows Phone, brining an improved chat experience, faster chat loading and more improvements. After the update, Skype loads Chat significantly faster than before, especially when you tap on a notification message from the Action center.

With the 2.25 update, users can delete both individual messages or the whole Chat conversations which, however, will still appear on other platforms.

In addition, there is a new option is the Settings menu allowing you to switch to a high-contrast (black & white) theme and change the appearance of Skype.

The new Skype version also adds large emoticons and group chat improvements. All changes in avatars in groups made on other platforms will now update in the Windows Phone application
