Microsoft has released a new update for its Windows Phone 8 application. It is a very nice update which features several important improvements. According to Skype team, the main focus of this update is an improvement of the conversations through better performance and quality, as well as providing some new features.
They argue that they have improved the start and resume performance for quicker continuation of the conversations. It is much quicker now for users to return to Skype while using other apps at the same time. Some general improvements to the app start have been made as well.
The Live Tile notifications are also changed basing on the users` responses. Now, the Live Tiles do not display the total number of unread messages, but only the number of unread conversations. Along with these improvements, Skype is now already available for Windows Phone 8 users in South Korea. You can download the new Skype here.
