Rumor: HP Elite x3 to cost €699 in Europe
The phone reportedly goes on sale in September
We have to wait around two months until the business-oriented smartphone with top-end specs hits the stores in the developed countries. A source from Italy claims to have information about the price of the Elite x3 and its possible launch.
According to Plaffo, HP will release the Elite X3 in September for the price of €699. If the information is true, then the X3 will have the same original price as the last Microsoft’s flagship – the Lumia 950 XL. Keep also in mind that the European prices are always higher than the prices in the US, so €699 in EU won’t necessarily convert into $771 in the US.
The possible release date in September seems quite logical. Both HP and Microsoft are still working on finalizing the Elite x3 and Windows 10 Mobile, respectively. While the Windows 10 Anniversary Update is set to roll out to the first eligible devices on August 2, HP may need an additional month to test the software or wait for the upcoming support for fingerprint readers.
HP Elite x3 features a Qualcomm SnapDragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 5.96-inch quad-HD screen, 64GB of storage, both a fingerprint reader and an iris scanner. HP will sell the smartphone with optional accessories, such as a Display Dock, a Laptop Extender and others.
