Windows Phone Area understands that Nokia Lumia 635 is coming to Canada as Microsoft officially confirmed the 635’s arrival on the company’s webpage. The new affordable smartphone will be offered from two Canadian carriers – Rogers and Telus. We also expect the LTE-capable Windows Phone to be available SIM-free at some local online retailers.

Nokia Lumia 635 has a 4.5-inch display with 221ppi, quad-core Snapdragon processor ticking over at 1.2GHz backed by 512 MB RAM, 8 GB internal storage and a 5MP camera. The phone will be offered in a variety of colored shells so users can easily customize their Lumias by changing the back covers.

There is just one difference between Lumia 630 and Lumia 635 and that’s additional LTE support and respectively slightly higher price of the latter, but of course users can benefit from high-speed 4G networks.

The phone has all new Windows Phone 8.1 features and improvements, including Voice assistant (currently for USA only), Notification Center, more tiles and backgrounds on the home screen and much more. We expect from Nokia Lumia 635 to offer a great value/price ratio becoming one of the hot-selling WP devices in addition to Lumia 630 and the low-entry Lumia 530.

Microsoft is also expected to start selling its top-end model Nokia Lumia 930 that will retail around 500 EUR, according to sources, or 50 EUR less initially expected price. The 930 should launch in key markets in June. Stay tuned for more news on Microsoft and Nokia.
