Outlook.com has been revamped

After months in beta testing, Microsoft is introducing the new Outlook.com site to everyone, offering improved design, more personal interface and faster email inbox. Outlook will let you chat in real-time with friends, start instant messages and even video calls thanks to the built-in Skype integration. Users can now assign names and colors to each category, assign more than once category to a message, and filter inbox messages by a category.

There is a Quick settings menu through which you could personalize your inbox, change the theme of the website, manage Focused inbox, and more. To access quick settings, tap on the Gear icon at the top right. Microsoft is also improving the way you work with add-ins. They can now be accessed directly through the drop-down menu in the message.

Both Calendar and People remain in a Beta stage, and you could try them by turning on the slider at the top right. You will see a refreshed Profile card, and some other improvements in People. Calendar beta is faster and has new icons.

There is a quick ‘New event’ button to add details without opening a new window. Both Calendar and People should drop the Beta tag in the coming months.
