Project NEON design language appears in Groove Music for Windows Insiders
Groove Music app updated with blurred effect and music videos
Microsoft is updating the Groove Music app for Windows 10 PC and Mobile to version 10.17032.1019.0 for Windows Insiders in the Fast and Slow Rings. The update introduces a new “now playing” screen with elements of Project NEON – the upcoming new design language for Windows 10 expected with the Redstone 3 update.
The company has also added the ability to play music video clips directly from the app for songs that have them. You can also add 10 or more songs instantly to any playlist, and follow playlists to hear the latest tracks.
The previous “now playing” screen had a black background with the album cover, while the new screen has a blurred background based on the album cover or the artist picture. The new update is live for both PC and Mobile for some members of the Windows Insider program.
