Microsoft has started rolling out new software updates for some Nokia Lumia smartphones. Within the next few days, the Lumia 930 owners will be able to install the latest firmware version 14353 and OS built 14157 which is in fact the same Update 1 for Windows Phone 8.1 that already rolled out for smartphones on the Preview for Developer program. That means the Nokia Lumia 930 will be the second smartphone having the official Update 1 besides the Verizon’s HTC One M8. Windows 8.1 Update 1 brings a couple of improvements and imaging enhancements, better display performance, Cortana support for the UK and China, Folders on the start screen, and more.

At the same time, Microsoft reveals that users who are on the Preview Program will finally be able to update their phones to Lumia Cyan. The update has already been released to a limited number of devices and the rest should see the Cyan update soon.

Windows Phone’s leader Joe Belfiore also announces that a new software update is coming to smartphones on the Developer Preview program. Expected this week, the new update will fix some storage issues, and add unknown HTC support which could be a sign that the HTC 8X will be getting the 8.1 Update soon.
