You can interact with the email from the notifications

Outlook Mail for Windows 10 supports quick swipe actions since its early days, but the users have been able to perform tasks only if they open Mail and swipe left or right. Now, Microsoft adds quick action buttons to the notification pop-ups and the action center.

These two buttons mirror the Swipe actions you can customize from the app Settings, allowing you to interact with Outlook Mail without opening the app. Among the options you can select for Swipe/Actionable notifications are ‘Delete’, Mark as read, Archive and Move.

The updated Outlook Mail is available for everyone on Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile. Update the app by going to the Store → Download & Updates.
