OneTouch Pop 2 running Windows presented by Alcatel
Alcatel One Touch Pop 2 is the second smartphone after the HTC One M8 that is capable of running two operating systems. At IFA 2014, Alcatel presented the Windows version of the Pop 2 which is expected to go on sale in a couple of weeks for EUR 119 ($155).
Alcatel OneTouch Pop 2 for Windows looks like a nice offering though, as it features a 64 bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor running at 1.2 GHz and Adreno 306 graphics. Aside from being the first Windows Phone with a 64bit processor, the Alcatel Pop 2 offers a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, LTE support, 8GB of storage, 1GB of RAM, two cameras (5MP with LED flash on the back, VGA up front), and a 2000 mAH battery.
Alcatel’s first Windows Phone 8.1 device will be available in several colors (with swappable back covers) and Dual SIM. It is 9.9 mm thick, with a weight of 147g.
What do you think about the new Windows Phone? It costs 40 EUR less than the Lumia 635, but offers even better specs.
