Details about these future devices haven’t been shared so we are not sure if they are smartphones, tablets or something else. One of the upcoming devices could be a Windows Phone version of the Nokia X2 – an Android based smartphone announced yesterday. It would be the cheapest Windows Phone to date with a price of 99 EUR.
One is sure, Microsoft is working on a huge list of new smartphones and we will see a lot of models coming out in 2014/2015. Nokia Rock a.k.a Lumia 530 will be a successor to the Lumia 520, but with better hardware, and possibly lower price. A high-end device codenamed McLaren with a possible release in Q3/Q4 is among the other new products under development. Nokia McLaren is expected to be the first smartphone with 3D Touch interaction allowing users to navigate through the phone without touching the screen. McLaren will probably have a 41MP camera, a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage.
