You can turn off the sender icons in Outlook

Earlier this month, Microsoft updated the Outlook Mail app for Windows 10 Mobile, introducing circular contact icons next to the emails in the box. While the update brought the mobile version on par with Outlook Mail for Desktop in terms of design and features, it seems that not all users were happy about the contact icons.

Now Microsoft is releasing another update to Outlook for Windows 10 (build number 17.8013.42368.0), giving users the ability to show or hide the contact icons in the mail app. The new option, turned on by default, can be found in the app’s Settings → Reading → Conversation → ‘Show sender pictures in the message list’.
