Nearly 500 new apps are created in Windows Phone app store every day!
There are over a 270,000 apps in Windows Phone app store, and 10 million downloads per one day.
Last week there were a warning of an apps burnout; because the only useful and important apps were the first 100, 000, and the rest of them are just a noise. The two drivers of a whole situation were: the increase popularity of Phone and the overtime working of Nokia to put very good apps in our ecosystem.
The General Manager of Microsoft Mobile Devices Steve Lewis (also known as the new name of Microsoft\Nokia in Australia and New Zealand) said that the most important thing for him and the company is to make the apps as easy and as accessible as possible for the users, and give them the unique pleasure of using Lumia. He also shared that despite the popular apps like Instagram, Vine, or Halo-users were also enjoying using the new Nokia apps, and the kind of app doesn’t really matter (could be free navigation, could be social sharing app), the aim of all of this is to give the Nokia Lumia users the feeling of using an unique app!
In the last six months the number of new developers building apps for Windows 8, has been increased to 45%, and now the ecosystem apps are planned to be created by more and more developers! The developers of Windows, and Windows phone are now more than 510 000, and so the produced apps are in the top 50 with 4.01\5 rating!
