A mid-range Windows phone by Trekstor revealed at IFA
German-based OEM to launch a Continuum-capable Windows phone
Back in March we reported about Trekstor developing a new Winаows 10 phone, and now we can confirm this rumor is true. Trekstor demonstrated at IFA 2017 in Berlin the phone named WinPhone 5.0.
It’s a fairly good-looking device with not so-inspiring specs, even though the it supports Continuum thanks to the min-range Snapdragon 617 processor. It terms of hardware, the WinPhone 5.0 looks similar to the recent efforts by other companies like NuAns and Coship, but here the price may be more attractive – under 300 EUR, according to the company. However, a final release date for this phone has not been announced – Trekstor only says ‘it’s coming later this year’.
Trekstor WinPhone 5.0 has a 5-inch HD screen, 3GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage.
The second Windows phone at IFA was the uninspiring Wileyfox Pro – a device with the very low-end Snapdragon 210 processor.
