Microsoft to unveil new Lumia, Surface and Band hardware in October
The company is planning a massive launch event in October
According to TheVerge, Microsoft will present many new products at a special press conference in October.
Among the devices we expect to be unveiled in October are the two high-end Lumia phones codenamed Talkman and Cityman, the fourth generation of the Surface Pro, the second-gen Microsoft Band and at least two surprises.
Of course, the main focus of the event will be the two high-end Lumia phones (940/950 and 940 XL/950 XL). These phones will be presented along with the final version of Windows 10 Mobile and we should also learn more details about Continuum for phones and the Iris scanner.
Surface Pro 4 will have a similar look to the previous model, but improved hardware and keyboard.
Microsoft Band 2 should also come with some improvements in hardware and software.
Along with these devices, Microsoft may unveil some other smartphones, a Surface Mini Tablet, or an improved and slimmer Xbox One gaming console.
Microsoft is yet to announce the exact date of the October event. The company is also holding an IFA event in early September, but it is very unlikely that we will see any high-end Lumia or Surface hardware in Berlin. Stay tuned for more news on Microsoft.
