Yesterday Update 1 for Windows Phone 8.1 was published for the first time. It brings some novelties such as Live Folders and many other improvements.

But the owners of HTC 8X and HTC 8S devices still cannot take advantage of the update. The problem is obviously related to the old firmware. Microsoft made a statement giving a little more information about the problem. According to a spokesperson, the deliveries for HTC users are now being stopped. Developers are working hard in order to fix the problem as soon as possible. Once it has been fixed, the deliveries would be continued.

The exact reason for the problem has not been identified yet. It could be a bug with the new OS, as well. The developers might soon resolve the problem and the next update for the Preview for Developers program will probably be just the fix for it. It is a practice new “Previews” to be released every two weeks.
