Microsoft to reveal Windows 10 consumer features on January 21
Windows 10 for PCs, phones & tablets, and Xbox One
Microsoft is announcing a big Windows 10 event to unveil the consumer features of Windows 10 for all supported devices. The place is Microsoft’s HQ in Redmond, the time is January 21st 2015, and the title is ‘Windows 10: The next chapter’. This is exciting, isn’t?
From the Windows blog:
On Wednesday, January 21st – we will be holding an event here on Microsoft’s Redmond campus where we will talk about the next chapter of Windows 10. You’ll hear directly from senior leaders from the Operating Systems Group including Terry Myerson, Joe Belfiore and Phil Spencer who will talk about the Windows 10 consumer experience –continuing the story we began in September. You’ll also hear from our CEO Satya Nadella as well. We’re going to live webcast the event so mark your calendars! As we get closer to the event in January, watch for another blog post from me on where to tune-in and watch the live webcast. As you can imagine, we’re pretty stoked to show you what’s next for Windows 10!
Microsoft presented some enterprise features of Windows 10 months ago, but at the upcoming January event the focus will be different – regular consumers. Company’s leaders, Nadella, Myerson, Belfiore, and Spencer, will speak about features like Continuum and combined platform for tablets and smartphones that will replace the current Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows RT/8.1. We can expect a demonstration of how the platform will behave on different devices – PCs, tablets, phones and even Xbox One consoles.
Save the date January 21st and remember to watch the live webcast from Redmond.
