Microsoft Surface Pro 4 to arrive in May?
A Fanless design for Surface Pro
Microsoft Surface Pro 4 tablet will be presented in mid-May during a special press-event. Sources familiar with the Surface project development tell SlashGear that the next Surface generation will debut 1 year after its predecessor. The Pro 3 was announced on May 20th 2014, while the 4th Surface Pro is set for mid/late May 2015.
The upcoming release of the Surface Pro 4 in May won’t be unexpected as we have already started to read some rumors about the tablet giving information about its hardware. According to these rumors, the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will have a fanless design and a thinner body, but will retain the holes known from the older generations.
The processor is said to be the 5th generation Intel Core I (Broadwell). Other possible specs are the 12-inch screen with a 2160 x 1440 resolution, and a new generation Pen. As far as the accessories, the current Type Cover and Docking Station should be compatible with the 4th Surface Pro.
Microsoft has recently presented the successor to the Surface 2, a 10.6-inch tablet running full Windows 8.1 OS instead of the dead Windows RT. All future tablet models by Microsoft will ship or will be upgraded to Windows for free.
