Microsoft Store update for non-Insiders adds more Fluent Design elements
Design changes for the Store app on Windows 10 PC and Mobile
Microsoft released an update for its Store app for everyone on Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile, and the new version 11710.1001.27.0 introduces some visible design changes and improvements.
The new version of the Microsoft Store app now has nice acrylic transparency of the menu in addition to the top bar. There is a new status message appearing on the ‘Download & Updates’ page when you check for new updates and everything is up to date. Microsoft has moved the app review stars next to the developer name, and also slightly changed the fonts. Additionally, there is a toggle in the Settings to disable video autoplay on app listings.
Microsoft previously updated with Fluent Design elements apps like Calculator, Mail & Calendar (PC), Maps (PC & Mobile), but the company has just started to add more aspects of its new design language. Other visible changes should be introduced to the Windows 10 apps in the coming months.
