Microsoft opens the Windows Phone Dev center for $19
Microsoft has reduced the annual registration fees for the Windows Phone Dev Center from $99 to $19 in attempts to attract more independent developers. The promotion will be available for the next 60 days and the subscription gives an access to a personal dashboard and many different development tools allowing developers to submit and publish apps and games to the Windows Phone store.
The subscription gives and access to a phone emulator to test the app and free development tools and tips. Users can explore the information available in the Windows Phone Dev Center and see tips and useful guidelines for the Windows Phone design concept. The apps can be created with trial options and the developers can test the app with their real phones.
The final app can be submitted and distributed across the chosen region. Any developer can submit up to 100 free apps. Users will have personalized dashboards where they can share advices, talk or ask other Windows Phone developers.
