Microsoft Surface Mini with lower chances

TK Tech news and other sources claim that Microsoft is preparing to launch two new products – Surface 3 and Surface Mini. According to these rumors, the new tablets should be announced at an event this month, and be released before the X-mass shopping season.

Microsoft Surface 3 tablet will be a direct successor to the RT-based Surface 2 model that has been on the market since more than a year. The new model will be the same size as the recently launched Surface Pro 3, but definitely more affordable and lighter.

Additionally, Microsoft might unexpectedly launch the Surface Mini before the Holidays, though the chances are much lower than 50% and even if that happens, the Mini tablet will be with a limited supply. Surface Mini has been in the development stage since early 2014, but it was reportedly suspended near launch. Rumor has it that Microsoft has faced unexpected problems with Surface Mini in terms of battery consumption so the project has been delayed waiting better times.

So, there is a strong chance for us to see a new Surface 3 tablet launching in the coming weeks, while the Surface Mini remains a mystery with a low possibility to see the light anytime soon.
