Microsoft Edge – all improvements in the Creators Update 2017
Upcoming browser improvements in Windows 10
Microsoft has outlined the new features coming to the Edge browser for Windows 10 in the Creators Update this spring. In a blog post, the company describes all improvements planned for Edge in early 2017. They are already available in the Insider program for testing, so if you are Windows Insider then you should be familiar with all these features. However, for non-Insiders, they are definitely something new.
Microsoft Edge in Creators Update 2017 will offer improved tab experience with redesign and preview of the tabs you open. Thanks to small icons on the left, you will be able to preview or hide the tabs you’ve open. Additionally, the tabs will be grouped into collections for a quick access. For example, you can see the tabs you opened yesterday, or 3 hours ago.
Microsoft is also adding 3D capabilities to Edge. After the Creators Update, the browser will support 3D content via upcoming VR headsets. Another new feature is the ability to read e-books from a dedicated section of Edge where you can access all books you’ve purchased from the Store.
Finally, Microsoft promises that the browser will become faster and more secure, with new extensions in the Store.
