The previous update for Windows Phone maps was released for the World Cup but the latest one offers some more detailed information and improvements. Let’s take a look at them.
The new HERE Maps update offers new extra details for smaller countries, better quality and ability to point addresses in more cities.
You can update you maps by opening the Settings app on your Windows Phone and then tapping consecutively – applications, maps and check for updates. You’ll have to download just a little data because the update includes only the novelties for the maps.
One of them is related to Mauritius Island with its detailed shapes and comprehensive street network coverage.
The 3D landmarks are also renewed which helps you when navigating through a city. The update brings you better quality of the textures with more details.
Another improvement includes the more address pointing options including much more cities now. You can easily find exact buildings by the visual representation of exact addresses. The widening of the service includes countries from Central and East Europe and the Near East.
