T-Mobile USA starts selling the first Windows Phone 8.1 device on July 9, as Nokia Lumia 635 has been listed on the company’s website. Online orders start on July 9th; while T-Mobile’s physical stores will have units in stock on July 18th.

Lumia 635 costs $0.00 with a new 2-year contract on T-Mobile and 24 payments of $7.00. Nokia Lumia 635 is a successor to Lumia 521, T-Mobile’s hot selling Windows phone device to date, the US version of the Lumia 520.

The first Windows Phone 8.1 device comes with Cortana virtual assistant, notification center, and acceptable hardware: 4.5-inch 854 x 450 display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection; 5 megapixel camera on the back, Snapdragon 400 processor, 1830 mAh battery, and LTE 4G support.

The 635 has removable backs and is available in several colors – yellow, black, white, green and orange. It lacks Windows Phone hardware buttons and camera shutter key, but it’s an improvement over the previous generation of budget devices and comes with Windows Phone 8.1 + Lumia Cyan updates pre-loaded.

Nokia Lumia 635 will be available also in the US through MetroPCS.
