Lumia 635 comes to Sprint’s no-contract brands
Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile to offer the phone from Dec.23
Sprint is releasing the LTE capable Nokia Lumia 635 through its pre-paid brands Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile. From December 23rd, a cyan variant of the Lumia 635 will be available at Boost Mobile’s online store for $99 excluding tax, while Virgin Mobile will be selling a white version. Microsoft and Sprint have also announced that in early January the smartphone will be available at Boost Mobile’s retail stores, third-party retailers and partners around the country.
Nokia Lumia 635 features a 4.5-inch screen, Snapdragon 400 processor running at 1.2 GHz with 512 MB of RAM. The storage space is 8GB plus a microSD slot supporting up to 128GB. Other key features include Windows Phone 8.1 OS, an 1830 mAh battery, and a 5MP rear facing camera.
Sprint has recently stopped offering Windows smartphones but the carrier confirmed that Microsoft is still considered as a valuable partner and new smartphones would be launched in the future. Nokia Lumia 635 is the first one, even though the phone will be sold indirectly through pre-paid brands.
