Windows 10 Mobile is on 9.2% of all devices

AdDuplex has released its monthly statistics about the situation in the windows phone market in April 2016. According to the data, the most popular phone in use is the Microsoft Lumia 535, taking the crown from the long-time king – the Nokia Lumia 520.

Windows 10 Mobile is slowly gaining market share, increasing its penetration from 7.7% in March to 9.2% in April. We expect the growth in market share for W10M to continue in the coming months, but at a slow pace.

We know that many of the top 10 phones in use won’t be officially upgraded (like Lumia 520, 530, 625, 920) and the new models (like Lumia 550, 650, 950/XL) haven’t gained momentum. The only market where we can see a new model in the top 10 list is the UK – with Microsoft’s Lumia 550 entering the chart with respectable 5.5%.
