LG’s Windows Phone passes through certification
LG will release a 4.7-inch low-end Windows Phone soon
In late 2014, we informed about a LG-branded Windows Phone under development. And now it seems that the phone is about to hit the market soon, according to WindowsPhoneItaly.
The phone, codenamed VW820, has cleared certification procedures which is a sign that it will be released very soon. The first LG-made phone running a modern version of Windows Phone is a cheap, low-end device. With a 4.7-inch display and a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, it is expected to be offered by Verizon Wireless in the US, and other carriers and retailers around the world. The handset will support LTE UE networks and download speeds of up to 150Mbps.
It won’t be surprising if LG launch a premium smartphone later this year once Windows 10 is ready.
