A new report reveals the top PC brands by country

The new Windows device statistic report is out, this time focused only on Windows 10 PC. It reveals the top 10 PC manufacturers globally and in some countries, the popularity of the Surface models and how well Microsoft support and update Windows 10.

According to the data collected from devices running Windows Store apps, the Anniversary Update (build 14393) is running on more than 90% of the PCs in use, eight months after release. The company is expected to start seeding the second major update to Windows 10 (Creators Update) in April.

In terms of PC brands, the 10 top worldwide list is in the same order as it was in February 2017. HP is a distant leader with a 24.3% market share, followed by Dell with 15% and Lenovo – 11.8%. Microsoft with its Surface line accounts for 2.5% of the market.

As for the PC brands by country, the report reveals that HP is the most popular Windows 10 manufacturer in USA (32.5%) and UK (26.4%). Dell is leading in Brazil (15.7%), Acer in Germany (14.9%) and Asus in Russia (17.9%).

Looking at the Surface devices in the US, the Surface Pro 4 is still number one with a 34.4% share, followed by Surface Pro 3 (27.4%). Surface Book has a 7.5% share of the Surface market in March.
