Kazam announces two 5-inch Windows Phones
Thunder 450WL comes with a Snapdragon 410 Processor and LTE
UK-based company Kazam has announced two new smartphones based on Windows Phone 8.1. These phones, part of the Thunder line-up, will be shown off next week in Barcelona, and launched in selected European Markets later this spring.
There are many similarities between both phones in terms of design and features, but major differences can be seen too.
Kazam Thunder 450WL and 450W share a very similar design (which is in turn an HTC-inspired) and a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Other common specs are the 8-MP rear camera paired with 2MP front-facing camera, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB internal storage, and a microSD slot supporting up to 32 Gigs.
What’s different? Windows Central reports that Kazam Thunder 450W is built around an outdated Snapdragon 200 processor and works with two SIMs, while the Thunder 450WL is a single-SIM device but has the newer Snapdragon 410 with LTE support. Another difference is the battery power – 2200mAh for Thunder 450W against 2500mAh for Thunder 450WL.
Along with new Windows Phones, Kazam announces three Windows tablets – L7, L8 and L10, all with Intel processors and resolutions of 1280 x 800 pixels. The new tablets and smartphones will be demonstrated at MWC 2015 starting next week. Pricing and availability are yet to be announced, but we do not expect them to cost that much.
