Hands-free, Boomerang and Night Mode available for users on Windows Mobile

Following the release of the Live Video feature for Windows 10 Mobile via a server-side update, Instagram is now updating its app in the Store, introducing many new features to Windows 10 phones. The update, currently available only for select regions and devices, brings the app to version 10.738.64166.

Instagram on Windows 10 Mobile now supports Boomerang, allowing users to create short looping videos of up to 5 seconds. Another new feature is called ‘Night Mode’ – it adjusts the camera sensor to improve the quality of the photos in low light, while ‘Hands-free’ lets you record a video without pressing the capture button.

To create a short video loop with Boomerang, you can tap on the camera icon in the top left corner, or just swipe right from the home page. From there, you can also start Live Video, and switch to Night More or Hands-free.

All these new features should be gradually rolling out to all Windows 10 Mobile devices in the coming days with update 10.738.xxxxx.
