Windows Store updated for Mobile Insiders

Those Insiders on the Fast Ring, regardless of the build they are running, will see an update of the Store. The new version is 11604.1000.21.0 and it brings revamped UI with a new app banner, update history, and more.

The Store now has a new layout for expandable sections (top apps, games, features, collections), a hero image, smaller app icons, and a section that shows you on which devices the app can run – PC, Mobile, HoloLens, SurfaceHub, or Xbox One. ‘Playable On‘ can be found just below the app screenshots – it replaces the ‘Built for Windows 10‘ note in the old Store.

Section ‘Download and Updates’ now shows you the recent update activity with the app versions and the date they have been updated.

However, the new Store looks like a work in progress and we should see more updates for it in the coming weeks. This build is slow, there are some performance issues, unfinished and broken parts. For example, the ‘Check for Updates’ button doesn’t seem to work.
