Huawei developing clear-memory app for Windows Phone

Huawei developing clear-memory app for Windows Phone

Probably the biggest issue Microsoft has failed to address in Windows Phone is the Other Storage bug. This bug leads to a permanent decrease of the empty space of storage memory due to users` inability to clear the temporary files themselves. Until Microsoft finds a solution to this issue it seems that users will rely on applications developed by OEMs. When Windows Phone has been released, the first manufacturer which developed an appropriate app was Nokia. Since then, for the users of Nokia’s Storage Check app this issue is no longer a problem. Unfortunately, for the rest it still is. Now, Huawei`s users will be lucky to know that the company is developing its own clear-memory app.

Wp7forum.ru reports that with the future app users will be able to delete temporary files, cached files, and application installation packages. It is not clear yet whether the new app will require an equivalent firmware update as it is with Nokia, but this remains to be seen.
