HTC working on an HTC One-like smartphone with Windows Phone and GDR3
According to Neowin, HTC is working on a new high-end device which will be similar to the latest flagship model HTC One, but instead of Android the smartphone will run the Windows Phone 8 operating system with the upcoming GDR3 update. Actually, the device won’t be just a re-hash of the popular model but it will take some of the cues from the flagship.
The phone is expected to arrive with a 4 to 5 inch display and a metal body, similar to HTC One (HTC One has a 4.7-inch screen) Beats Audio and a camera with the UltraPixel technology. The future handset running Windows Phone 8 with the GDR update could be announced this fall and it could be on the shelves later this year, the source reveals.
The launch of an HTC One-like device with Windows Phone would not be unexpected and many analyzers believe that this will happen sooner or later. Now, the GDR3 update will support quad-core processors and 1080p displays which HTC could take advantage of, developing some really impressive Windows Phone. Stay tuned to read more news.
