HTC One M8 Windows Phone spotted in the Netherlands
It seems that a Windows Phone version of the HTC One M8 will make its way out to worldwide markets in Q3. The device, which is described as running Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1, accidentally leaked from Verizon’s servers, is understood to be part of Verizon’s late 2014 line-up. Then, the upcoming model popped up on a certification website with bands for Europe and U.S which was a hint we might see a global release.
Today we can see a small image on the site of the Dutch company Telford, which is evidence that HTC One with Windows is on the way to Europe. As we reported, a press event has been scheduled for August 19 in New York, where HTC is rumored to unveil the HTC One W8 or whatever the phone will be called. Two days later, on August 21, the smartphone should be available in the U.S. on Verizon Wireless.
The first HTC Windows Phone since 2012 will come with several exclusive apps and features – HTC Camera, Blinkfeed for Windows Phone, Boom Sound, and Duo Cameras. Rumored specs include a 5-inch display with full-HD resolution, quad-core Snapdragon, 16/32 GB storage, microSD slot, 2 GB of RAM.
We will update you if any new information pops up before August 19.
