Hardware refresh of Surface Pro confirmed for 2017
Surface Pro 5 will be launched this year
Many analysts predicted that Microsoft would refresh its Surface Pro tablet line in late 2016, but the speculations turned out to be not true. Microsoft instead presented the Surface Studio – an innovative all-in-one PC for designers.
But new information from China points to a new Surface Pro tablet in Q2 2017. Surface Pro 5, according to DigiTimes, may come with a magnetic charging pen and an Ultra HD display.
Surface Pro 5 in 2017 is also supported by evidence from LinkedIn where a Microsoft R&D Contractor has listed projects like HoloLens, Xbox and Surface Pro 5.

Furthermore, according to the source, Windows 10’s new design language codenamed ‘Neon’ may also debut later in 2017, possibly with the Redstone 3 update.
Aside a better processor, screen and other hardware improvements, Microsoft is not expected to change the design of the 5th generation, compared with Surface Pro 4.
