Microsoft may be preparing a successor to the Lumia 640 for 2016

Microsoft is launching three new phones with Windows 10 Mobile in November – Lumia 550, 950 and 950 XL. Months ago, we heard rumors that Microsoft was working on new mid-range devices, among them successors to the Lumia 640, 730 and 830, but these phones were reportedly canceled.

Today, a freshly leaked render gives us an early look at a phone that could be the successor to the Microsoft Lumia 640. The new model, codenamed Lumia Saana, could be called Microsoft Lumia 650, according to the render (see the clock).

The upcoming Lumia 650 should come with some hardware improvements over the Lumia 640 and we expect a new processor (Snapdragon 410 or higher), HD screen, 1 or 2 GB of RAM, and at least 8MP camera.
