Foundbite, a new social network funded by Microsoft and Nokia is available exclusively for Windows Phone. It allows you to take and share photos with sound capturing the real atmosphere of a place. When you take a picture, Foundbite adds ambient sound to help you relive the moment. The app that was previously in a beta version is now available for all Windows Phone 8 devices.

To use Foundbite you need to create an account. When you open the app you will see the feed showing the latest foundbites from users you follow. You can also discover other great content and see the most popular posts. The Foundbites can be shared over the other social networks or send like an email or SMS. By tapping on the users images you can open their profiles and follow them.

Foundbite for Windows Phone maps

All Foundbites are displayed on a map, so you can explore the pictures with ambient sound captured near you. You navigate through the map and find cool posts from different parts of the world. The app is a relatively new, so you shouldn’t expect to see many Foundbites in your area. However, the app is unique in its way and has a great potential so we expect to see Foundbite to gain popularity around Windows Phone users very fast.

The team beyond Foundbite promises to add new cool features very soon. Among them is the ability to invite friends using Windows Phone, to see who is following you, notifications, comments and a voting system. Foundbite for Windows Phone 8 is available for free in the store. You can download it from here.
