Firmware update for the Surface Laptop improves the battery
Microsoft releases an update to improve the battery life on the Surface Laptop
A new firmware update is available for Surface Laptop. It improves the battery life, according to the changelog you can read here.
You can manually download and install the update from the Download Center. It’s 291.8 MB in size. You have to download the following file: SurfaceLaptop_Win10_15063_1802008_1.msi
Heading to the Settings → Windows Update, and scanning should also allow you to grab this new firmware.
Microsoft regularly rolls out firmware updates to the Surface family, and the last one for the Laptop came on January 10. The previous update was focused on the Spectre /Meltdown flaw.
