YouMiGo is an interesting social app for Windows Phones that not only lets you talk with strangers living in other countries but also allows you to learn about new cultures and learn interesting facts about places you are interested in or want to visit.
YouMiGo is like a free intercultural exchange program on the go, so you can find new friends and establish close relationships with them. First you need to log-in with your Facebook username and password and then you just pick a region on the world’s map.
You see all users who have picked the same location and you join the community by responding to chats or sending requests or queries about facts you are interested in. An interesting decision is that you can’t see initially the user’s profile picture because it is blurry but the more you talk, the clearer the picture becomes.
The app is 100% free and comes with several nice features like Live Tiles, an option to invite friends from contacts and social networks, and more. There is a built-in translation, thus Youmigo completely eliminates the language barrier so you can communicate with anyone from any country in the world.
Youmigo is an exclusive Windows Phone app, and is not available for other mobile platforms.
