Facebook Messenger now available for download
Teased as ‘coming soon’ at the Mobile World Congress, Facebook Messenger is now available for download from the Windows Phone store. The messaging app developed as a joint venture between Microsoft and Facebook is suitable for all users who communicate often with friends on Facebook.
Facebook Messenger offers much more than the built-in chat, bringing a whole new experience. Users will be able to use stickers and send photos; have group conversations on the go; share locations; see when their messages have been seen; stay always logged in; turn on or off notifications and more. Through Facebook Messenger, users can read messages without opening the official Facebook client or the website through Internet Explorer.
Unfortunately, the first version for Windows Phone doesn’t support some of the features available for Android and iOS like voice messages or chat heads, but we expect Facebook Messenger to be updated regularly, as the app has been developed by both Facebook and Microsoft.
Facebook Messenger is a standalone application for Windows Phone 8. Download it from the link below.
