Facebook Messenger gets a rare update with new features
The app now supports sending messages in the background
Facebook does not often update its Messenger app for Windows Phone, but now we have a significant update with some new features and improvements. The new version of the messenger, 11.0.1, fixes the sign-in issues experienced by some users when they try to log in.
Along with the log-in fix, Facebook enriches the app with some handy new features. The most significant addition to Messenger for Windows Phones is the ability to send messages in the background, even if the user closes the app before the message is delivered.
According to the official changelog, Messenger now sends and receives texts faster than before. In addition, the app shows when the messages are delivered and seen.
You can grab the updated Messenger from the Windows store.
