Create and share short movies with Movie Moments
Movie Moments is one of the first universal apps available in the Windows Stores (for PC and smartphones). It is small but really nice addition for those of you who love making videos with the phone’s camera. What does Movie Moments do?
Movie Moments can open any video from your phone or you can capture one live. There is a four step wizard allowing you to create a short movie (up to 1 minute), enriched with different effects such as annotations and music. The idea is to make a short and small (up to 10 MB) video file that can be easily shared through Social Networks or email. All movies are stored in ‘Saved Pictures’ folder, so they can be shared with a few clicks.
Creating a movie is a simple task with Movie Moments, so even not so tech-savvy users will be able to make some nice videos. Captions and music are added with a few clicks, as the app lets you choose background music or select a music file. When you open the video file, you will need to trim it in order to make it up to 60 seconds. Then you can add captions and some music. Little background instrumentals are available for download – they can be previewed by tapping on the play icon. Alternatively, you can open a music file from your playlist. The final movie has a 854 x 480 resolution and you can share it directly from the app, once it is rendered out.
The app is available for Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1, so you should wait for the latest OS built or update by creating a developer account and joining ‘Preview for Developers’.
