Cross-plartform strategy for Cortana expands her popularity.

Microsoft has just unveiled a new speaker, called Invoke, powered by Cortana and built by Harman Kardon. Along with the speaker, Microsoft also announced that Cortana has 148 million active monthly users on all supported platforms. Back in May, Cortana had 145 million users, so the company is about to reach 150 million very soon.

Cortana is now available on Windows 10 as a built-in feature but also on Android, Xbox and iOS as a standalone app from store, which should help Microsoft attract more users in the coming months and years. The company is gradually updating its apps for all platforms by introducing new features for Cortana. This could lead to even more users willing to switch to an alternative digital assistant on rival platforms – Apple has Siri in iOS, while Google has its Assistant in Android.
