Buy a Display Dock for $99 from Microsoft Store US
Use the Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL as a PC
Microsoft Store US has started selling the Display Dock for Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. The accessory that allows you to connect the phone to peripherals like monitors, keyboard, mice and flash drives costs $99 with free shipping in the United States. The company is also offering a free dock to users who have purchased the Lumia 950 XL from the online store in some countries.
Microsoft’s Display Dock comes with a USB Type-C port, three USB 2.0 ports and an HDMI connector with a Full HD resolution and 60fps refresh rate output.
Using the Display Dock you can do more without a PC at home. Just dock a Lumia 950 and create a PC-like environment on a bigger screen.
Continuum for Phones feature is limited to the newly announced Lumia 950 lineup and works only with Universal Windows apps, but this could be just the beginning. With new developers launching Continuum-supported apps and Microsoft being able to release firmware updates to the Dock to add new functionalities, the Continuum’s future looks promising.
