BLU has released the Update 1 for Windows Phone 8.1 to both smartphones running Windows – the Win HD and BLU Win JR. This is an official GDR1 Update which has nothing to do with the current unofficial Preview for Developers build 14219. However, for users who are not part of the Program, the official 8.1.1 Update will make their smartphones up-to-date with what is happening within the ecosystem and even place them ahead of many Lumia devices which are running an older build.

BLU Win HD and Win JR are getting three columns on the start screen, Live Folders, and all other improvements part of the official refreshment package. To manually check for an update just go to Settings -> Phone Updates.

BLU Win HD is one of the best looking Windows Phones in its class. It has an affordable price tag of $179 off-contract at Amazon.com. The Win HD has a 5-inch screen with an HD resolution, Snapdragon 200 processor with 1 GB of RAM, 8GB RAM, 8-megapixel main camera with LED flash + 2MP front camera, and 4G HSPA + connectivity.

BLU Win JR is a low-class device with a price of just $70 at Amazon. The Win JR comes with a 4-inch screen, 512MB of RAM, 4 GB internal storage, 5MP with LED flash + VGA cameras.
